reset moment || when your just not feeling yourself

There are moments when we all have to reset. I had a mental health day yesterday where I was not feeling myself. A day where I felt overwhelmed that my body is not the on I used to know. The moment menopause became part of my life I thought, ok, I will handle this. I have been doing fine handling the night sweats and hot flushes, the anxiety. But there is one thing I will not handle and that is gaining weight around my mid section. For me this is a non negotiable. I am not perfect, but I am happy with how I have been able to look after myself and keep my mid section just the way I like either to be. But the last few weeks there has been bloating, puffiness and a big change in my tummy, which I am not happy about.

Today I am feeling ok as I feel like I will be able to mange this if I exercise a little better. My diet is nutritionally sound and healthy. I have always been reasonably healthy.

This will be a step by step, day by day process, which I will share.

Thank you for being here, I appreciate your support.

Are the any tips you can share?

221 newsletter : spring reset

IDEA ONE : the 70/30 rule

Keep 70% of your lighter layers and remove the heavier thicker fabrics. Keep your jeans, trench, loafers/ballet flats and bring in slides. (make sure you get a pedicure ready to show your feet). 30% bring in some colour 3-4 spring pieces like dresses, skirts, cardigans.

IDEA TWO : Layer off method

The trench coat / blazer is your must have layer to transition into spring. Ready to be taken off as the day warms. Blazer t-shirt + jeans. Dress + trench.

QUOTE

ONE : ‘Remember everyday is a special occasion, so dress with intention.’

TWO: ‘Age is not a limitation to what you can wear, wear whatever you feel confident in.’

QUESTION FOR YOU

Which piece are you styling your way today?

Travel : Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island is a dream place to visit. Time to refresh and recuperate to just be - to sit by the pool or beach. Take a day trip out to the reef.

I have been taking the time to travel on my own, which I find invigorating , also a little lonely but time to find and grow with in myself. Travel is therapeutic and a time to learn.

I left on Wednesday the 6th March when Cyclone Alfred was starting to implode on Brisbane and surrounding areas.  I was watching the weather for Hamilton Island vert closely but all was fine so I flew on Wednesday morning from Sydney.

A magical place for relaxation
